About us
Hey there! 👋 If you don’t know us locally, let us introduce ourselves!
We are the Hodgin family, rooted deep amongst the cornfields of rural Illinois. That is where you’ll find us, renovating an old homestead, raising chickens, teaching our kids to work with their hands… basically all your stereotypical midwestern stuff! Small town/country living is everything to us, and we love having this community to share with and create for.
A little bit about ourselves~
Travis- (that is, Travis in Tractorland on TikTok and YouTube) -is a head Precision Farming technician and is the best at keeping all the local farmers moving. His light hearted nature can make anyone smile. At home he stays busy with all of our never-ending projects!
Rhianna- homeschool mom by day, fine artist by naptime. Born into long lines of skilled makers, it’s no wonder that she is always up to something creative! She can’t help it. Home is her favorite place, and her kids are her very best friends. She considers every day the biggest blessing getting to teach and create with them.
Teddy- our tractor boy, with big dreams to farm! If you’ve got a question about farming, he’s the kid to ask! He is the sweetest soul, and is always willing to lend a hand at any opportunity. The ducks are his special little buddies and they love him too!
Holliday- momma’s creative sidekick, always working on something crafty and singing while she does it! She constantly surprises us with her ease of learning new things. She loves playing the piano, sewing, crocheting, cake decorating… the list goes on and on. There aren’t enough hours in the day for this girl.
Johnny- our all-American boy, who would spend all day in the go-cart if he could! He’s got an eye for the coolest classic cars, and an awesome admiration of the patriots who defend our Stars & Stripes. We can’t wait to see what he’ll get himself into as he grows!
Dahlia- the baby of the family, our cowgirl rockstar. She’s only three, but she’s already got a BIG personality and a unique sense of determination that can’t be tamed. We’ll keep you posted on what this child accomplishes!
We bought our little farm in 2019~ including a few acres with a pond, a barn, and a large, hundred-year old farmhouse in its nearly original state. It’s a lot to tend to, but there is so much character and every year we try to do some updating! We also built a farmstand to sell our extra eggs and whatever other goodies we come up with, and that has been such a fun creative outlet and a lovely way to connect with our neighbors! We hope you enjoy following along as we share our little adventures here in “Tractorland!”
